High-Rise Office Tower — Public Safety DAS

Challenge

A newly constructed Class A office tower failed initial AHJ signal testing on 14 of 22 floors. The building owner faced a certificate of occupancy hold and needed a compliant ERRCS designed and installed before a hard deadline.

Solution

We conducted a full RF grid survey, identified the attenuation sources, and designed a bi-directional amplifier (BDA) system with distributed antenna coverage across all floors, stairwells, and the underground parking structure.

Outcome

Passed AHJ re-inspection on first attempt. Certificate of occupancy issued on schedule. System designed for annual inspection compliance from day one.

Regional Medical Center — NFPA 1221 Compliance

Challenge

A regional hospital undergoing a major expansion needed to bring the entire campus — including legacy wings — into NFPA 1221 compliance. The project required careful coordination to avoid disrupting active patient care areas.

Solution

We phased the deployment across wings, working during off-peak hours. Our design accounted for the high RF attenuation of medical-grade construction materials and the EMI sensitivity of critical care equipment.

Outcome

Full campus compliance achieved across all wings. Zero disruption to patient care operations. System documentation package delivered for AHJ submission.

Distribution Warehouse — IFC 510 ERRCS

Challenge

A large logistics facility required IFC 510 compliant public safety radio coverage prior to occupancy. The tilt-wall concrete construction and metal racking created significant RF shadowing across the floor plate.

Solution

Predictive RF modeling was used to optimize antenna placement before installation, minimizing infrastructure cost while achieving the required coverage thresholds. A leaky coax solution was deployed in the dock areas.

Outcome

IFC 510 compliance verified by independent testing. System installed on schedule with the construction timeline. Annual inspection plan established.

Municipal Government Complex — Multi-Building Coverage

Challenge
